Simple Virtues

I got this picture from Erin Jang. She's been raising money for cancer research through this prints, go to her website for details.

It is titled "Simple Virtues," and I wanted to make something that could sit at my work desk but also hang in my child's room. When I was designing this, I kept going back to the small but important things I want my son Miles to cherish and value. It's not always easy to exercise all these things, to be diligent, to be patient, to be fearless and gracious. But it is something for me (and I hope, for you) to aspire to in work, in life.

It's so lovely, isn't it?

I really think I will make one of it for my future house

A gift for someone will be nice too.

And these are my prayers for your birthday this year:
I pray for you to enjoy your life more, to not to worry too much, and not to complaint too much.
Take it easy.. Life is suck sometimes, but life is way more beautiful if we say so.
I pray for you to be more patient in every way. Proactive, not reactive.
I pray for your career. I know God will make a way for you, and He is doing it right now B-).
I pray for you to be a more loving son and brother for your family.
I pray for you to not to always think about money, seek God first, and anything will be provided.
And last but not least, I pray for you to love me more each day, to not to get bored with me ;;), to always persistent in our commitment, to always support each other, and to always have a hope that we are in the same way to one purpose.. AMEN.
I'm so grateful to have you each day in my life.

Made this scrap frame for the first time, it's scrap frame, right? Hahaha, basically I just printed, cut, and glued this and that into a frame. Very easy and simple for a beginner like me :D. I bought most items from Class Room (Sutos)

A Little Prayer

This writing should be posted on my birthday which is over a week ago. I was too busy to blog last week, preparing a meeting and training new member.

Thank God, the meeting and training went well. It made me remember myself three years ago when I was a newbie in my department, all by myself. And I think I survive! :D

One member even said in our meeting last week that my department is much better when I handle them comparing to my formers. It just a simple comment, but it really means a lot to me, that I am contributing to someone, that I am contributing to my department :"). Yet, in fact I think I have done nothing but make every reports simpler and run a training for enhancing their skill.

The older I am, the more I know that I want nothing in this world but happiness.

Sometimes I am too busy to think "What have I done this past 25 years?" or "What will I become in the next 5 years?" or "Can I go to Hongkong someday (sooner :P) and play in Ocean Park?" or "Can I have a wedding in a garden on a sunny day someday?' or " Can I have my own workshop or studio or anything at home so I can be a full-time mom, staying with my kids, while Calvin is working?" or "Can I live that long so I can see my grand kids?" or any other absurd questions.

And I reach to this point that all of my thoughts above are way too overreacted, because I have to think about my life NOW not yesterday, not tomorrow, or not in the next 5 years. Yes, people make plans, indeed, but the thing I want to say is we have to be grateful and give our best for what we have now instead of worrying what we don't have now.

I believe God will make a way. In His time.

Then here I say a little prayer to you Lord, for better me.

Thanks for the gift :*

I Got Lucky

Remember my old post about Ms.Glitzy Giveaway?

I won it!

I WON US$1000 shopping voucher from my-wardrobe.com !

Couldn't believe it at first, but Ms.Glitzy's twit that day on late December noticed my name as a winner. I re-checked in her blog and it really was my name. Whoa!

The next following week, Sarah from My-Wardrobe emailed me the gift certificate code and explain all the how-to, and it's very easy and simple, considering me never buy something online from abroad. Thanks Sarah! Here I got US$1000 to spend in my-wardrobe.

I was seriously confused for My-Wardrobe has many fabulous designer's items for I want to purchase everything. And at last I picked these two items: Marc Jacobs satchel and Sam Edelman peep-toe shoe. All in black, because I want items that could be easily mix and match with others. Also I've been craving for so long to have a satchel and a peep-toe shoe, now I got it all!

And today the loot is coming. Thank you Ms.Glitzy and my-wardrobe.com, you guys really made my day! :D

Cruising Christmas

Always love it when Christmas comes. The occasion perfectly comes along with the rainy and cold days. Hence, we need something warm, something like being together with our beloved ones: lover, friends and family. And my Christmas this year would be a special one, because I would spending it with Calvin and his family. They're gonna have lunch with whole family and do gift swapping this 25th.

So we got to Ace Hardware last night and these are what we've got for gift swapping:

A mug porcelain for Calvin and a soap dispenser for me. Cuteness!

Been using some leftover Christmas paper and red+green bows

When red meets green <3
