Lombok Bali Business Trip

Yay! 

I have to 'yay' first, because after almost five years working here, I haven't visited all Honda Dealers in my area which is Lombok and Bali. 

So yay (again)! :D

We have one Dealer in Lombok and three Dealers in Bali, so it was a four days business trip, the longest ever in my work experience. Four days trip were super packed. Along with my colleague we went to each Dealers: visited, checked, and presented the result at the in of the day. Tired and lack of sleep, but I had my mojo: enjoying their local foods!

Weekend at Jakarta and etc

Just had a busy weekend at Jakarta. I and my other colleagues were there to support our team in Honda Skill Contest 2013. And the hard work has been paid off. Almost all win top three position the categories. They, as I know, are all the people to very determined to win. Hence, I am so happy, I grinned so wide as I heard the news of their winning announcement at Mulia Hotel Bali, yes after took part the Contest at Jakarta, all the contestants were flew to Bali! *envious*. Some didn't win, but I know they did their best, it's just a matter of time. Anyway, I had a chance to try the famous Yoshinoya at Jakarta! And as people say, it was so yummyyyyy!

Let's move to my recent purchases (again!). I got another Dollywink! I've been searching for a waterproof mascara and read a good reviews about Koji Dollywink. I had Maybelline Turbo Boost which I didn't really like, because it smudges and leaves some black residues under eyes after 4-5 hours. I totally look like a mess. And this Dollywink Long Mascara... I am in love! I purchased it at Sogo for IDR 296K. Pretty expensive for a mascara, somehow I kinda regret buying it, because I just checked on online shop, they sell it for only IDR 196K :( #lessonlearned : check online before purchasing something (!!)

And okay, I have to save up this month, I purchased too many things! But I love them all. OMG!  >,<

I bought Fossil watch as Christmas gift for myself, hahaha =P and I bought Estee Lauder eyeshadow as a Christmas gift for my mom. I bought it in two colors: cyber pink and cyber copper. Both are gorgeous. And that BB cream is from Ettusais, I read the review from Joey Chong, and I am carried away ever since. Fortunately, when my mom went to SG, she managed to stopped by at Ettusais counter and bought it for me :D. So far this BB cream works well at me. *happy*  

Done

So finally the meeting is all done yesterday. It went well, however it didn't come as easy as usual. Other team worked over time,10 am to 2 am everyday since last Saturday, even on Sunday. Lucky me, my division had no presentation, so I got home earlier on 11pm. And, of course my parents are here since early month so I really don't want piss my dad off as the previous meeting (which I got home on 1-2am, and my dad won't talk to me like a week). Really wonder why on earth they always come whenever I have to work over time o_O

This is the main dealer business meeting which every semester the Japanese  bosses will come to the main dealer, and main dealer have to prepare a presentation toward our achievement, the anaysis, and the next plan, surely to increase the car sales. I think this time was the smoothest meeting we've ever done. The Japanese bosses were so nice, they even joked around a lot. 

And I am so proud of C, lack of sleep, exhausted mind and body, yet he presented so well. We had the best meeting ever!

I wonder if other brand do such things. How will it be if SKII compared to Clinique, or MAC to MUFE segment by segment? Hehehe, I am so out of topic XD

Just this evening, my boss thanked to all of us, and we are rewarded one day off and he promised to take us a big meal celebration hehehe.. Looking forward, boss B-)

Life Lately

Been away from blogging like forever, I was a busy bee B-). And these are my life lately:

Got stomachache really bad last week. Apparently because of the 'pentol' (mini meat ball with sauces), some kind of street snack I could not resist (They are just too yummy!). Had been sick on my upper stomach two days, but I kept telling myself that was nothing because it was a come-and-go pain. But on day three, my right stomach was hurt constantly I could not sleep well, I could not walk straight up.

At last I decided to go to the internist. Hans Tandra, one of the best in town. He put me up to blood and urine test, and thank God, the result was all good. He said it was just because of the dirty food. Got the medicines (all free, thanks to my insurance! :D), had porridge and no spicy or soda at all, and I got better in no time. And really have say no to street snacks in a long time. Sigh.

I got this Akebonno lunch warmer to keep my porridge warm, which I bought two years ago, and love it too bits. I just think lunch warmer is a real magic! :D

Oh and I got a huge and pretty 'Man yek', a Chinese tradition to give special package to family and relatives when your baby got one month old, from C's sister. CUTE!

Anyway, my colleague got married in Malang last Saturday, and went there was a good decision. Despite of the hot weather, I had a very relaxing weekend. The food was good and even the traffic was so nice to us. And I got this Body & Soul dress I love so much. The floral prints, the cutting, and the color!

Roses are Red

Doing nothing at the office, feeling sleepy but I can't sleep here right? So I blog! Some stuff that catch my eyes recently: stuff in red!

This was my outfit last Saturday: top from Cotton Ink and the red shoes are from Wondershoe. Bought this shoes couple years ago, but only wore it twice, because it hurt my toe so bad. But when I got this Stripe Color-block tank in red, I remembered I have the red shoes to match it. And what's the excitement? I was using band aid and it worked like magic! The pain was gone, yay!

This is another red stuff (Can I say car as stuff?). This new Honda Odyssey is in new color: Aurora Rosewood Pearl. I think it's so cool that people could create such a cool name for car's color. Saying it sounds sophisticated, mysterious, and sexy (How cool is that?).

Another one is the new Honda Civic in: Carnelian Red Pearl. I even have to google what the meaning of Carnelian is. Lol.

New Level

Been busy this past two weeks. Uh oh. And finally all meetings and training are done! Oh, I miss doing nothing! :P. Oh, the good thing is: I got new staff to assist me in my division. Yay! It had been my three years as a single fighter, and it feels so good to have someone to help you doing this and that :). It's my whole new level! I am welcoming the challenge B-)

Anyway, this is C's birthday month!! What to give, what to give? *panicked*

Overtime

Okay, here we are again preparing Main Dealer Business Meeting on this Tuesday. Got home at 2 am two days ago, didn't bring my key (stupid me), and.... disaster!

10.22 pm

Me texted Dad nervously:

"Dad, I may be late at home tonight, got an overtime at the office. Don't worry, I can go to office tomorrow at noon."

10.24 pm

Dad replied:

"Okay, be safe there."

12.12 am

Me texted Dad again, the nervous was doubled!

"Hmm, Dad, I think will be a lil bit late, please send me Yulin's number (new maid). So I can call her when I got home."

12.13 am

Dad replied:

"It's okay, I will open the door for you."

12.16 am

Me replied, really I skipped my heart a bit:

"Okay, Dad. It will be over soon, I will call you later."

12.17 am

Dad replied:

"Ok."

1.41 am

Dad texted me, obviously seems angry now:

"Hey, why don't you go home yet?"

1.44 am

Me replied, almost crying:

"Not yet, Dad. Everybody is still at the office. I will call you when I get home"

----- no reply

1.57 am

Me texted Dad

"I am on my way home."

----- no reply

2.20 am 

In front of my house, called Dad 5 times and got no answer.

15 minutes later:

Mom opened the door (thank God!) and told me that Dad was angry with me. I was so gonna dead!

Even I was at home, he didn't show up. Better be prepared myself for tomorrow.  And as a result, yes, I can't sleep! It's because I was thinking what to say to Dad tomorrow. Really frustrating. This is my 6th times (since 3 years ago) doing this overtime at work, it's kinda routine for us work at main dealer, to prepare a presentation to our Japanese big boss, and still my Dad doesn't get used to it, that his daughter will stay up late the office one full week, twice a year. SIGH.

And the following day was way predictable with an hour lecturer from Dad in the morning and the scene of me keeping my mouth off and nodding continuously. I think that was the best way to calm the angry Dad, to let him burst it out. 

I am so sorry, Dad. It's just the way it is :((

Hope Tuesday will come soon and the meeting will run well, oh and really wish the Japanese big boss will be in a good mood *finger crossed*

PS: I've been getting home late still, and I am saved by my own key.

I Feel Good

Just celebrated staff birthday at the office today. Yup, my office celebrate each staff (who work over one year only) birthday every month. In the end of the month we gather everyone who has birthday on that month, buy them cakes, and together sing the happy birthday song and take pictures. Also the bosses will do the birthday speeches even pray for us. This is my birthday month so I was in and really I had a good time :")

Then I want to tell you my new things (these make me pay the credit card bill today. Uh oh). I have this new trouser in black from Body and Soul, very comfy to wear, fits my short leg perfectly :P, and new batik top from Batik Keris. I love the color and the cheongsam neck. Glad that I chose size M (usually take SS!), kinda lousy but it fits very well as an office attire. Also introducing my new hair! Been having too much bad hairs days and finally cut my hair shorter last week. My head feels so much lighter and... I feel good! :D

Weekend at Trawas

Spent this weekend at Trawas with all Honda mates, approximately 150 people were there for annual Employee Gathering. Had pretty much fun, ate a lot of meatballs (bakso) and chicken satay, you should try one in front of PCP. YUM YUM.

What I got there:

Gather and Win

So excited this weekend. My company is going to have an Employee Gathering at Trawas tomorrow, we will stay there until Sunday. It is an annual event, every year all of BOD, Managers, Supervisor and staff could participate for free. There will be games, motivation class and surely a lot of food --> FUN!

The excitement is not only we will have weekend getaway with all the colleagues, forget some routine activities and targets, gain some fresh air, mind and soul refreshment and lot of fun, but we could have a chance to win the door prizes which are two motorcycles, bicycles, flat TVs, rice cookers, microwave and many more! *excited*

The BOD make sure everyone gets the prize. Even though we don't win the door prizes we will at least get 200K IDR shopping voucher. It is great, isn't it? Everything free is great ^^

Last two years I got only 150K IDR shopping voucher, and last year I won Rice Cooker. Everyone surely want to win the motorcycle, but for me flat TV or microwave or bicycle will be just great *finger crossed*.

Dream Will Find a Way

In 2008, I applied to Singapore Airlines to be a Cabin Crew. I think being a Flight Attendant especially an international one will make a larger opportunity to see the world. I love traveling, who doesn't (especially free of charge, even get paid A LOT :P)?

I just figured out recently that it has been my dream ever since I was kid. Being a Flight Attendant was one of my childhood dreams along with dreams to be a doctor or a teacher. Very typical dreams of Indonesian kids :D. I forgot that I had the dream for so long like I could not recall what the exact year, like I was 9 or 10. I was just a little kid answering randomly when people asked me what my dream is. I even did not know the job and the risk and everything. Is it a coincidence that I finally in 2008 applying for that position? Hahaha.

Unfortunately I did not make it, because of my height issue. SQ sets minimal 158 centimeter height, and I am 156 :(. It is a simple but critical criteria, so..... bye-bye SQ. Some friends passed the interview and succeed. Yes, I envy them, but I believe I'll get a better way to travel around the world someday! :D :D :D

Anyway I believe dream will find a way.

My friend Winnie (formerly was a Customer Care staff in Honda Dealer) is now a Garuda Flight Attendant. Being a Flight Attendant is her biggest dream since college. After graduated in 2009, she applied it and successfully made it to final interview in Jakarta, but sadly she voluntarily leaved it because her mom did not give her the blessing. Then she worked here but still do not give her dream up. She kept begging her mom to let her pursue her dream. Until last month she made the interview in Garuda Indonesia and her mom finally said yes.

Last Saturday was her farewell day. It was sad losing one of my favorite Customer Care, but I am happy for her for finally succeed to make the dream comes true. *HUG*

Ice Skating (or Ice Standing?)

I was really excited to know there's an ice skating playground in Surabaya. Not that I am expert on that, simply because I was curious. Don't laugh, I have never played ice skating before *blushing*. So I thought it would be fun (turned out no, I'll explain it later. Hiks).

So last week I finally played ice skating with @lovingyunie @ical_paris @cilpiee at Manulife Cool Zone, Grand City, Surabaya. The event was held by Manulife, you can go on check their website here. Manulife sees the market condition: school holiday moment (May 28 to July 20) and no ice skating place in Surabaya.

 "So how's the ice skating, Yun?" A friend asked me a day later. "Errrr.. instead of ice skating, I was ice standing!" O_o

Yes, it was sad. I was too afraid to fall that I just stood up. I wasted almost one hundred for standing still :(( 

Afraid to fall. It's human nature.  But by falling you will learn to get up, to try again, not to give up, to conquer your fear, to stand up, chin up, and succeed.

Gosh, I wish I can do it as easy as write it. Sigh. The thing is, I consider too much embarrassment and pain that would happen if I fall. Sigh (again). Wish me luck (and courage) another time!

Yesterday I made a birthday card for a birthday girl Sylvi, one of my Honda mate. She is mad about Running Man, a South Korean variety show, so we decided to make a card about it. You guys want some refreshing and a big out laugh should watch it.  Although, I did not make it good, just cut up and glued, it turned out OK. Really should make it good next time :D

Today my boss asked us to have a lunch with Board of Directors as a compliment of our good presentation last week. He treated each of us a Wagyu Steak. A juicy and a huge one. And because my boss do love fancy dining, he treated us a glass of wine too. I was so full and red (can't handle the alcohol).

All for a meeting. Six hours meeting with the Japanese. The review of our last semester achievement and our 2011 strategy. Tomorrow, May 30th, 2011. 10.30.  

I have been through it since 2009 to 2011. I do not complaint to get home late. But my parents do *sigh*. Please do not worry about me. Bosses give us tons of foods even a vitamin C injection. It is just the way it is. And the most important thing I do it happily.

I did yoga finally! But it was just two months I did it, simply because I have no time. Yes, I am a super busy woman. Hahaha. Forget it! The fact is I am just too lazy to do that :(. But yoga is really good. Have a try! Anyway, I still couldn't figure out what Pilates is, hahaha.

As a Main Dealer Customer Relations, I should, no, I must visit my Dealers' Customer Care Officer. We have 12 dealers, located in Surabaya, Malang, Kediri, Bali and Lombok. It's now my second year at Honda, and I never have chance to visit Kediri, Bali and Lombok :(. Too bad, I can't make it this year. TE DOT! Hopefully I can make it this year.

I really had problem to wake up early in the morning. I think I am not a morning person. But, I can smile now. A grin even. This couple months, I wake up early, I do my make up and blow-dry my hair at home, and go to the office early :D. I feel healthier than ever. That is the power of waking up early. Thank Almighty.

So, since i work at Honda, I am forced to read this super thick book called Honda Myth by Masaki Sato. I like the ideas of the founder Soichiro Honda and co-founder Takeo Fujisawa. Honda was the engineer master, and Fujisawa was the business management master. They collaborated very well even enormously to make Honda one of the biggest automotive brand in the worldwide.

The Meeting

Blog yang satu ini aku buat cuma sekedar untuk men-track hari-hari menjelang "The Meeting". Ce elah. Apa coba The Meeting? Hehehe. Tempat aku kerja ini, punya jadwal 2x setahun untuk presentasi pencapaian tiap semester ke kantor pusat di Jakarta. Presentasi ini jadi penting karena pendengarnya adalah si President Director, yang adalah seorang Japanese. Presentasi dibuat selengkap dan sepadat mungkin dalam bahasa Inggris . Orang pusat menyebut meeting ini: Main Dealer Business Meeting (MDBM). Untuk kali ini, jatuh pada tanggal 23 Agustus.

Nah MDBM ini sebenarnya sangat simpel. Cuma terdiri dari 6 bagian dengan total 15 orang: Marketing, Sales Satisfaction Index (bagianku ni), Service, Parts, dan Dealer Network. Yang jadi masalah ntar yang bakal presentasi ini bukan aku atau temen-temenku dari divisi masing-masing, tapi sang Operational Manager (OM)!!

Masalahnya apa coba? Ya ituuuu, kita harus bikin presentasi dalam bentuk Power Point yang mudah dimengerti oleh sang OM dan sebisa mungkin ada caption, yang memudahkan beliau untuk baca saat presentasi (bukan presentasi, tapi baca! -_-). Nah karna inilah dari pengalaman 2 tahun kerja di sini, tiap presentasi biasanya kelar dalam H minus beberapa jam. Karna banyak banget perubahan yang harus kami-para staf- lakukan untuk memudahkan (baca: menyenangkan hati) sang OM :(.

Hal-hal membencikan dari MDBM:

• Perubahan yang sedikit demi sedikit buat eneg, bisa sampe 10x revisi! ada aja yang dirubah, bahkan sampe detik2 terakhir! -_-
• Pulang malam bahkan kadang pagi, biasa dimulai H -7! Yang berarti mulai hari ini.
• Hari libur juga disuru masuk. Hiks, bye2 libur 17an :(
  

Hal-hal menyenangkan dari MDBM:

• Ga perlu bawa atau cari makanan selama 7 hari ini. Kantor menyediakan makanan, terserah mo pesen apa. Plus snack. Plus dessert. Plus juice, kopi, dan teh. Denger2 untuk MDBM semester lalu habis sekitar 7 juta hanya buat makan ini inu dalam 7 hari! Wow! Kali ini kami harus memecahkan rekor sebelumnya, hahahaha :D
• Ga perlu bangun pagi. Karna pulangnya uda tralu malam. Sebenernya si sama aja waktu tidurnya tetep 7-8 jam. Cuma buatku enak banget bisa bgn siangan. Hehehe.
• Katanyaaa (ini masih katanya) hari libur yang kita masuk itu akan diakumulasikan untuk cuti. Yay! Ya Tuhan, kabulkanlah doakuuu. Amin.

Selamat ultah Indonesia!
Jadi di hari libur ini, aku masuk kantor -_-
Setelah kemarin pulang kantor jam stengah 1 pagi dan tidur jam 2 pagi, dan bangun setelah tidur 8 jam, dan sekarang pukul 22.31 aku masih di kantor juga.

Ok. Hari ini, perintah bos, smua presentasi diminta menggunakan Microsoft Power Point 2007. Karna apa? Simpel, karna si bos mau warna-warna pastel, di mana 2003 ga punya itu. Kalo ada sesuatu hal yg lebih advance harusnya kan kualitas kerja jadilebih baik. Iya kan? Tapiiiiiii, yang satu ini tidak! Yang ada komputer jadi super lelet *nangis gero-gero*. Mana kudu belajar ulang lagi T-T (merasa manusia yang sangat baheula, dan oya, baru tau kalo skarang malah udah ada office 2010!! OMG!!).

Thank God, setelah 2 jam heboh blajar ini inu plus restart 1x, voila, normalitas komputer dan penggunanya udah kembali seperti semula.

Semakin malam, semakin baik, dan lumayan udah kelar lolos tahap 1, yaitu lolos uji sang Manajer. Kalo udah lolos tahap 2, yaitu sang Direktur baru bisa lega. Jadi sementara Bapak Direkturnya belum review (bapaknya lagi di Jkt) ya harap2 cemas lah skarang. Antara bakal terus ato rombak total. Tuhan tolong. Amin.

Terpaksa bangun pagi hari ini karna kudu k Jakarta buat meeting jam 13.00. Flight jam 10.00 pagi. Dari malam udah itung2an kalo flight jam segitu jadi kudu bangun jam 7.45, siap 30 menit, perjalanan 45, nyampe bandara jam 9, pas 1 jam sebelum brangkat.

Teori memang gampang. Pas alarm bunyi, snooze. 15 menit bunyi lagi snooze lagi! Jam 8.15 baru bangun. Siap2 jadi 45 menit, perjalanan nan ngebut 40 menit, sampe airport jam 9.30!
Untungnya masih boleh check in.

Nah yang parah si bos (meetingnya ama si bos) waktu check in, dia telpon dan bilang dengan cool-nya, "Yun, tolong mintain last minute ya, saya masih di jalan ini, macet banget". Haishhh. Ternyata ada yang telatnya lebih parah.

Eh 15 menit kemudian telpon lagi, "Yun, kamu cari Pak Sujono (orang Garuda) ya, mintain saya tiket jam 11, ga keburu ni, saya baru nyampe tol. Kamu berangkat duluan aja". Errr baiklahhhh.

Naik pesawat, aku duduk manis, doa ucap syukur, tweet bentar, dan liat jam 10.05, kok belom brangkat juga ya? Eh begitu angkat muka ada si bos jalan dengan santai, trus duduk di sebelah. Aku cuma melongo. Hebat banget bapak satu ini, jadi dari tadi ni pesawat ga jalan2, karna si bos. Aihhhh.. "Bapak lari-lari ya?", tanyaku
"Lari-lari sih nggak, tergesa-gesa iya", jawabnya cool abis. Errrr, baiklahhhhh..

Sepanjang perjalanan dihabiskan dengan tidur.

Nyampe makan siang di Sunter: Otak-otak belijong. Aku dipesenin si bos tahu kok (apalah tulisannya), ada perkedel kulit ikan (entah apa namanya), sama mpek2, dan otak2. Aihhh enaknyaaa. Si bos emang pinter milih tempat makan enak.

Meeting selama 1 jam, hasil memuaskan. Bahagia. Langsung balik airport.

Hampir sepanjang perjalanan pulang Sby dihabiskan dengan ngobrol dengan si bos. Beliau emang jago crita. Jago pula persuasi orang. Banyak banget yg dibahas, dari kerjaan, sampe tips memilih pasangan hidup. No 1 tipsnya: Cari pasangan seiman, trus no 2: cari pasangan yang mau kerja. Baiklahhhh pak.

15 menit sebelum landing, si bos bilang"Udah ah, mata saya udah pedes banget ini". Batinku, "lah bapak ngobrolnya ga kelar2. Aihh". Trus kita berdua tidur zzzzzzz....

Sampe Sby jam 19.00 langsung ngantor lagi. "Aku memang pegawai teladan dan idamaaann!", teriakku, dalam batinku yg meronta-ronta *hoek*. Yah gimana lagi, masak bos nya langsung ngantor, pegawe nya pulang. Haish -_-.

Waktu mo update blog hari ini dan liat tanggal 20 ama 21 yg bolong, baru sadar, aku lupa. Dan skarang mencoba ingat2 pun lupa. Mau maksa mikir kok susah dan malas. Haish. Benar2 sindrom-13-jam-kerja-sehari.

Dinner malam ini kita ke XO Cuisine. Memang dasar bos2 nyantai, presentasi blom fix 100% kita udah diajak makan ke TP. Ya udah senang2 aja. Nyampe TP serasa orang asing plus aneh karna mata bengkak dan hitam. Serasa melihat kembali dunia yang sebenarnya. Ya elah, apa to.

23.08 The Meeting

Meeting jam 10 pagi. Kliatan mood2 orang2 pusat lg ok. Pada pake hem batik, bahkan the Japanese big boss cuma pake kaos polo dan clana jins (dan oya umurnya 50an, dan hobinya surfing! Aw!). Dan beneran meeting berjalan lancar. Bagianku bahkan banyak slide yang disuru skip2 aja, karna hasil SSI (Sales Satisfaction Index) Main Dealerku udah bagus (o, kasiannya nasib slide2 ku yang terbuang T-T).

Jam 13 break makan siang, kita lunch Apeng dan oya si Big Boss suka banget Song Mie-nya!
13.30 lanjut lagi meeting, mata bener2 udah mau merem aja. Gila!

Hasil penglihatanku meeting berjalan cukup lancar, walopun ada beberapa hal yang kurang2, tp it was all okay. Mengingat semester lalu, kami cukup kaco balo. Haha.

Jam 15.00 kelar meeting. Ayayayay! Rasae lega banget, plus ngantuk ga ketulungan. Nahan kantuk sampe jam 17.00, begitu bel bunyi langsung pulang dan tidurrrr.
